- Alizarin seemingly came into existence overnight. Three musicians, each with their own distinctive style and inimitable ideas, decided to cross our personal notions of musical expression into an energetic, yet comforting, blend of harmonic bliss. The first night we started writing, the notes and words flowed out like a turbulent river whose banks could not withstand the sudden surge of current. Anthony turned his guitar into an audible version of an opus magnum on canvas. Brett and Kimberly added their own touches, making the music seem to float on feathers of pure melodic affinity. It was obvious to all of us at this point that the music written that night must be shared with the world.
We immediately got to work, spending the next several months writing and refining, relishing every moment. What you hear on our album is the music we have decided to release to the public ear so far, with many more to come!
We are an indie-acoustic band based in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Alizarin plays music with singer/songwriter, alternative, jazz, and hard rock/metal influences creating a sound that is uniquely ours.
